Our school was opened on June 7th 1999 by Allan Rogers MP. The school is a brand new single-storey building which is situated in a beautiful setting, at the base of the mountain from which it derives its name. The children come from the four nearby villages of Blaenrhondda, Blaen-y-cwm, Tynewydd and Treherbert. Please feel free to look around our website, and don’t forget to e-mail the school with any suggestions or questions you may have.

At Pen-Pych Community Primary School, we are committed to inspiring our learners to become ambitious, creative, healthy and confident individuals. Every stakeholder is provided with the chance to reach their full potential as part of an inclusive, diverse and respectful community of learners.

Learners receive an inspiring, rich and engaging education. Our curriculum places pupils at the centre of their learning, allowing them to take ownership of their education, providing the opportunity for each individual to flourish. We embrace learning through authentic experiences, provided within and outside of the school and wider community.

We believe that all stakeholders enrich the lives of our learners. With the support and engagement of all stakeholders, we strive to ensure that Pen-Pych Community Primary is a school the whole community can be proud of.
